Day 12 – (05/14) Dade City, FL (Day 3)

Carol had another bad night.  We went to an Urgent Care Center in Brooksville.  Diagnosis is acute bronchitis.  We had lunch at Wendy’s, got 3 prescriptions filled at CVS, and returned to Travelers Rest.

A rain storm with strong wind gusts hit shortly after we returned to the trailer.  Fortunately, our awnings survived without damage.  This is a good time to lay low, take the new medicines and get some much needed rest.

The rain lasted an hour.  The sky cleared and we had a beautiful, peaceful sunset.

We drove to Dade City to look around.  The drive reminded us that this area is much like the Texas Hill Country.  It’s a bit greener here.  But, there are plenty of cattle, cows, horses and rolling hills.

We leave tomorrow and hope to connect with Janet Jimenez in Barto.  Janet and Dick worked together in San Diego.
